In August last year, I had the opportunity to photograph Wiltshire FA’s summer football tournament, Fest4All, held across two days at Wiltshire FA Headquarters on Green Lane in Devizes.
The tournament welcomed over 100 local teams, bringing together clubs from across the county to celebrate grassroots football. The first day focused on girls’ teams, while the second day featured mixed teams and open age Ability Counts teams, reinforcing the inclusive values at the heart of the event.
trophies at stake...
The level of football throughout the weekend was exceptional. Players demonstrated skill, determination, and sportsmanship, while parents and club representatives witnessed competitive matches and memorable performances. From a photographic perspective, the tournament provided countless powerful moments, capturing both the intensity of competition and the emotion that defines grassroots sport.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the event was an outstanding success. The positive atmosphere remained throughout the weekend, with smiles from players, parents, and coaches reflecting the strong community spirit that made Fest4All such a valuable and rewarding event.
It was a privilege to document a tournament that so clearly represents the impact and importance of accessible football opportunities for all across Wiltshire.
