My name is Meg and I am a  23 year old photographer based in Wiltshire. I’ve been obsessed with cameras and taking photos for as long as I can remember. As I grew up, I decided to pursue photography more seriously, moving schools to learn more and even doing a bit of freelance event photography along the way.

But then came Covid, and like so many others, I hit a bit of a creative block. I lost my spark for photography, and I just didn’t feel inspired anymore. Even coming out of lockdown, I kept telling everyone I was going to take more photos and be a photographer, but I ended up choosing the "safe" option, working for someone else instead of going after what I truly loved.

 

Fast forward to 2024, and there I was—sitting in my 9-4 marketing job, wondering if this office life was really for me. No surprise, it wasn’t. Even though I worked in social media and website development (which to this day I adore), not having full control over my creativity just wasn’t fulfilling.

Everything changed in January 2025 when I spent a day with a group of full-time photographers, each with their own unique style. I can’t even explain how happy I was to be surrounded by people doing what they loved. It was a wake-up call for me, and I realized I had to make a choice: keep going in the direction I was or go all in on building something for myself. Two months later, I handed in my notice and jumped into my biggest passion—photography.
